Adrian Prawica

Adrian Prawica is an award-winning filmmaker, cinematographer, director, and editor. Based in Chicago, Adrian's work in advertising, long-form documentary, and motorsports has been featured on major television networks in the United States and abroad.

A graduate of Loyola University in Chicago, he is most known for his independent documentaries dealing with Chicago history, and their connection to the American experience. His first feature documentary film The Fourth Partition is currently one of the few films on the market that present the history of Polish immigrants in the United States, and the only one produced within the last decade. In the 2021 documentary film Haymarket: The Bomb, The Anarchists, And The Labor Struggle. Adrian presents the history of the labor struggles and social inequities during the American gilded age through one of the most notable events that occurred On May 4th, 1886.

Adrian's blend of minimalistic editing techniques, anti-narration sentiment, and use of illustrations and sketches, give his films a straightforward and unique feel with an emphasis on featured storytellers. An avid 8mm film camera collector, many of his films feature original 8 & 16mm films he's collected over the years, as well as almost all film re-enactments are shot on actual film using vintage cameras.

As a commercial director, cinematographer and producer, he's been part of national campaign productions since 2013, including 4 Super-Bowl ads, himself directing one in 2018.
